Dog Cart
Description of Project
The dog-cart project was centered around a disabled dog named Stewie; Stewie was born with a congenital disability that caused his front legs not to form. The project was to build Stewie a cart he could use to walk. We could have done other things for this project, like raising awareness about Stewie by making a video, but my group and I wanted to try something new and attempt to build a cart for Stewie.
21st Century Skill
The 21st-century skill I think the dog cart represents is Interpersonal. This was because this was a group project; at every turn, we had to discuss what was going to happen. We also had to communicate with HARF ( charity program ) about getting materials for this project and Mr.Hazlet about using power tools.
What was most difficult about completing this projectAs I stated earlier, the group and I had no previous experience in construction, so we had a lot of failures throughout the project; However, we managed to power through our problems and finish the project.
How could you improve this workIf I had to choose anything to improve this project, I would choose to change the materials. The PVC pipes were fine, but they were less sturdy than any of us had expected; I'd also find a better adhesive.

What are you most proud ofI'm most proud of the final product; no one in the group had any building experience, so the fact that we could construct an actual cart was terrific.
what did you develop or improve uponDuring this project, I think I developed my self-direction skill; trying to complete a full cart within the timeline was a struggle. The group and I had to focus on pulling it off.
